Window film and tint for homes and offices in McKinney
CoolVu of McKinney puts film on glass. That means solar tint for house windows and storefronts, plus frosted film for rooms that need privacy. The company says it also handles safety film, printed wallpaper and wall graphics.
The business describes itself as a residential and commercial installer. Beyond McKinney, it names Prosper, Anna and Celina among the towns it works in. Its website names the owner as Mitchell Meyers and describes shatter-resistant film that can be fitted to existing buildings.
Homes in McKinney have a median build year of 2007, per the American Community Survey for 2024.
Before you call CoolVu
The business lists hours of 8 am to 8 pm every day of the week. It holds a 5.0 rating across 54 Google reviews. Reviewers most often say rooms felt cooler and had less afternoon glare once the film went on. Several also mention installers who arrived on time, explained which film would suit the windows, and came back to fix a problem after the job.
The work happens at the customer's home or building. Reviewers describe a visit to take measurements before the install, and the company says consultations are free.
Its website gives office hours of 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays, a narrower span than the daily hours. A weekday call inside that window is the surer way to reach the office and set up the first visit.

I had a wonderful experience with CoolVu! They did an excellent job tinting my inside doors that open up to the backyard as well as my front door, which gets a lot of direct sun from both the east and west. I could feel the difference in the reduced heat immediately after the tint was installed. The doors and surrounding area feel noticeably cooler, and it has made such a difference in the comfort of my home. The work was professionally done, and I’m very happy with the results.
Ford was easy to work with and their online system sent out reminders of scheduled appointment and payment process was streamlined. Kudos to our installer who did a fabulous job. Over all, we are pleased with the experience. Thank you!
They did an amazing job on our tall windows. They were efficient and explain which tint would look the best for what we want. I would highly recommend them!
